Description
GLEITMO 605 is a suspension of high-molecular polymers in water. GLEITMO 605 has been designed to achieve defined friction coefficients on screws/bolts according to the specifications of the automotive industry (VDA).
Field of application
GLEITMO 605 is primarily used for the lubrication of connecting elements like nuts, metric screws/bolts, chipboard screws, sheet metal screws, clamping screws, cap nuts for cutting ring joints, etc.
Method of application
Depending on the requirements, GLEITMO 605 can be diluted with water (at least of drinking water quality). As a rule, GLEITMO 605 is used at dilution ratios of 1 : 3 (for centrifuge coating procedures, stringent require-ments) up to 1 : 7 (for dipping). In this process, water is added to GLEITMO 605 while constantly stirring. The parts to be coated must be free of grease. Drums and centrifuges commonly used in the galvanizing industry have proved to be very convenient. After the coating process it is recommended to dry the parts by hot air (up to a part temperature of approx. 80 °C). Packaging of coated parts only in absolutely dry condition. For additional notes regarding coating and bath maintenance please refer to the Technical Information on GLEITMO 605.
Note
Protect against freezing! In closed original containers at room temperature storable up to 24 months.
